Mario de Luigi (Vice-President) and Maria Teresa Sancini (President) founded B.Kolormakeup & Skincare spa SB 22 years ago with the aim of providing something different in the world of beauty and cosmetics. Today, the company has a chameleonic vision in an ever-changing world of makeup and skincare, focusing on creating skin-compatible products that are also exciting and fun to wear and experiment with. Together with Francesca Ghidelli (Strategic Marketing), they are bringing a wealth of experience and innovations to Clean Beauty in London.  

 

In your opinion, what does clean beauty bring to cosmetics? 

 

For B.Kolormakeup & Skincare, the role of clean beauty is bringing more consciousness to the end consumer. With the spread of clean beauty products, customers are becoming more informed and curious about understanding what goes into the items they buy.   

Clean beauty isn’t just a connection to the raw materials, but it’s about every single element that goes into the product and a cleaner approach overall. B.Kolormakeup & Skincare are looking for substitutions of traditional materials and for a cleaner definition of all the steps that go into the manufacturing process.  

 

What is the approach your company is taking to sustainability and clean beauty?

B.Kolormakeup & Skincare have always tried to create something different and were among the first contract manufacturers to be certified by Ecocert and to fully believe in natural raw materials. Years ago already, they began to transform their practices and their ingredients, moving away from chemicals. For us, it’s not a trend or “just” a beauty section anymore – we use clean materials in all we do and align this practice with our vision and belief in clean beauty, says Francesca Ghidelli.  From changing their formulations to creating specific ranges of clean beauty with new raw materials that substitute “traditional” chemicals, they are also looking to develop beauty products that are different, innovative and unconventional, disruptive in the clean world, as Mario de Luigi explains. 

B.Kolormakeup & Skincare have a complete awareness of clean products, not just relying on materials, but also on new technologies and processes.  

 

 

What do you expect from participating in the Clean Beauty in London trade show? 

 

B.Kolormakeup & Skincare are looking forward to joining the show as a great new idea in clean beauty. Bringing something new and different to the industry, allowing the experts to exchange their views and get to meet other brands and clients – it will all contribute to continuous innovation and evolution.  

The Clean Beauty in London trade show will also hopefully bring clean beauty to the forefront of consumers’ minds and show that a new wave of products and manufacturing approaches is coming.
