Graduated in Organic Chemistry and in Cosmetic Science and Technology with honors and qualified as Cosmetics Safety Assessor, since 2008 she has been collaborating with international companies and organizations as formulator, technical manager, scientific consultant and speaker. She wrote more than 200 articles for cosmetic blogs and magazines and held seminars to companies and public.

Dominika MINAROVIC

Dominika Minarovic tells a new story for the beauty
world. The Co-Founder of BYBI presents a clean
paradigm of 100% natural, vegan, and cruelty free
products. As such, the brand also wholeheartedly
supports sustainability at the highest level, preserving not
only skin health, but the environment as well.
“From day one, we were determined to alter the
industry’s impact on the environment,” she affirms.
“We’re taking action against climate change by offsetting
and reducing our carbon emissions. We actively
encourage others to carbon copy us to set the bar high
and drive change within the industry.”
Splitting her childhood between Australia and Hong
Kong, she fell in love with the “pampering element of
beauty” at home. With a passion for writing and
journalism, she achieved a Bachelor’s Degree from
University of Leeds and Master of Arts in Publishing from
University College London. She transitioned from working
in the literary world at companies such as Hachette Book
Group to sales at Immediate Media Co., YuMe Inc, and
AdRoll. Upon their introduction, Dominika immediately hit
it off with Elsie Rutterford, bonding over wellness, fitness,
and a healthy lifestyle. Together, they built Clean Beauty
Insiders into an influential blog, book, podcast, and social
media presence in 2015 before joining forces again for
BYBI two years later. With this foundation, the company
immediately set a precedent with its in-house formulation and all-natural ingredients.
“Nothing on the market appealed to us as mainstream consumers,” she explains. “We were looking for
natural, efficacious skincare that looked great on your bathroom shelf, but was also underpinned by true
sustainability ethics. The Clean Beauty Insiders community reinforced the demand, so we decided to
create BYBI to fill the gap.”
That’s exactly what it did. The products made a big splash in Sephora and Boots throughout the UK and
Europe as well ASOS, Revolve, and direct-to-consumer.

Before joining NATRUE in July 2020 as Label and Events Officer, Viktoria worked for well-established natural and organic cosmetics companies in Estonia and Russia. Sophie ROBINSON

Business Development Manager, Organic Beauty, Wellbeing and Textiles, SOIL ASSOCIATION CERTIFICATION

Sophie is the Business Development Manager on the Beauty, Wellbeing and Textiles team at Soil Association Certification.

Her desire to understand and improve supply chains stems from a practical upbringing spent gardening, crafting, and creating potions with her mum (an aromatherapist and seamstress). In 2014 she harnessed this passion for well sourced quality products by moving into her first systems role within the organic sector.

A qualified nutritionist with an MSc in Gastronomy, her interest in the food system and its’ pitfalls led her to consider the health and systemic impacts of what we are putting on our bodies and into our homes by way of cosmetics, cleaning products, home furnishings and clothing.

A keen scuba diver and forager, one of her passions is keeping plastic out of nature, especially our oceans. Certified organic beauty helps to deliver on this due to strict production guidelines, a key part of what attracted her to this sector.

Sophie still mixes potions for her skin and hair but is relieved there are now so many amazing products on the market she can let an expert formulate most of her routine!

Elsie RUTTERFORD

BYBI Co-Founder Elsie Rutterford always associated
beauty with creativity. The London native identified its
expressive potential as a child, experimenting with hair
and makeup in order to emulate a zeitgeist of
forward-thinking fashion. In many ways, this early

Clean Beauty Insiders . Their D.I.Y. recipes and conscious
approach to skincare galvanized an audience and set the
stage for BYBI. With 100% clean ingredients and a staunch
commitment to sustainability, the brand blossomed into an
affordable and all-natural alternative available in
mega-retailers Sephora and Boots across the UK and Europe in addition to ASOS, Revolve, and
direct-to-consumer. Bringing BYBI to life and entering the U.S. market in 2020, Elsie emphasizes the
boutique brand’s hands-on approach as a key to its integrity, speaking to her own creative inclinations.
“We formulate everything in-house and have a chemist and lab in London,” she goes on. “It’s rare for a
company of our size, but it was important to allow us to guide our formulations and ensure we’re
consistently pushing for quality and innovation. This process also enables us to stay close to our ingredient
suppliers, meaning we are the first to know about the most exciting progression in naturals.”

I qualified as a Medical Technologist and have worked in several hospitals in London and South Africa. In the mid nineties I was involved in a project at the University of Cape Town, Botany department working with drought tolerant plant species and in particular the Resurrection Plant - Myrothamnus found in the dry Karoo area of South Africa.
I then began creating my own skincare range and soaps sourcing organic olive oil from the farm down the road and exotic oils from Namibia where I worked with a Women's Cooperative wild harvesting and processing Kalahari Melon Oil,Baobab and Marula Oils.
On returning to the UK I teamed up with Lisa and was able to help her as she began her journey to being a skincare specialist.
